1. Aerobics Boosts Oxygen
The trick here, is to get your heart rate up. Even a daily, fast paced 30 minute walk can make a big difference. The word Aerobic actually means, 'with air' or 'with oxygen.' Cells deprived of oxygen decay, mutate or die, so regularly getting your blood pumping is necessary. So this weekend, go for a hike or a couple quick walks around the block and you'll be on your way to a healthier lifestyle!
2. Oxygen Stimulates Brain Growth
While your brain may only account for 2% of your body weight, it accounts for 20% of total oxygen expenditure. Exercising regularly improves brain function and it seems, enhances the production of neurons. Forty to 60 minutes of moderate intensity exercise has been proven to improve cognitive function. The key is to make it fun! Then you're much more likely to be consistent and do it three to five times a week.
